Sad lyrics, but such a cheerful melody it became an ice cream truck jingle (as in first youtube below). In 1940, Woody Guthrie adapted it as “Union Maid” about a union organizer (see last youtube).

Now the moon shines tonight on pretty Red Wing,
The breeze is sighing, the night bird's crying,
